I joined Medium primarily to write humor and satire. However, viewing the stats, it's clear that Medium members have decided I'm a political writer. So it goes. Music, science, and stories about our dogs also make appearances.

My primary style is "If I were famous, you'd read this."

When not writing, my time is mainly taken up by playing and conducting wind orchestra music and repairing woodwind instruments. I'm in an ongoing project to become a better spouse, but after thirty-plus years it's not clear I'll ever get much better. The rest is a jumble of crossword puzzles, fly fishing, and forgetting to not argue with crazy people on Facebook.
