I don't think we can draw any conclusions from that except that you clearly aren't the committed relationship sort, and outliers make for poor data analysis.

But I don't even consider this article to be controversial. Men have dominated women in marriage and men have abused that power, both historically accurate and not up for debate. Now that women have more options, they will re-evaluate relationships and men will have to decide if they want to adapt to the new reality, both of those are human nature 101.
