As a hockey fan, I was pissed off at the league for giving in to the bigots. Everyone say it with me: f*uck the Staal brothers.

Hopefully this will galvanize players to step up and move beyond the boilerplate “pride night” and make a strong player-driven statement of positive rather than passive support. With any luck, the homophobes will drive the discussion the other way and cut the legs out from under themselves.
