As far as I can tell, conservative principles boil down to winning and getting their own way, full stop. The (small number of) people who stop to consider the ethical implications of their decisions seem to be on the left.

Conservatives don't have much use for people who turn the other cheek who might, you know, lose gracefully. Jesus would probably tell the truth, help the poor, and make it hard for rich people to pass through the eye of a needle.
