Biden didn't want to leave, and his people didn't want to believe he had to. It's not screwing around, it's human nature. I'm surprised they did it all all, it's unprecedented (I think?). I'm not trying to say it's genius, quite the opposite - they were captured by events and did the best they could.
The critical thing is that your disagreement was based on the idea that democracy was lacking. But it wasn't, so the post doesn't hold together anymore. There was never going to be another primary, so choosing the nominee's VP is the best they could do.
Now, your initial post was angry, insulting, and either ignorant or dishonest. "The American people elected Trump once but not twice" is patently false, right-wing fever dream stuff. You can see where I got my doubts about your veracity and independence. I appreciate the change of tone, but if these later posts are your true feelings, I hope you see that your fears were groundless. Relax.
Love them or hate them, a lifetime among the Democrats has taught me they're almost all honest, decent folks earnestly trying to do the best they can. Despite the impressions a noisy minority create on social media, they're natural-born compromisers (to a fault, frankly), not ideologues or conniving plotters out to bring down the nation. Mind you, I'm sure many of their leaders are manipulative a-holes, but that's true for every party since the beginning of time.
I've never trusted Republicans, and recent events prove I was correct - their party is rotten, and they've supported. But that's in no way partisanship, just eyeballs on politics and a willingness to believe the obvious.
