Black voters in the South were (rightly) scared to death of Mango Mussolini so they went with someone who could beat him. The upside is that another four years of GOP governance would have been the end of the republic. The downside is it stagnates the resistance to the right. The other downside is it allowed the right to regroup, so we’re stuck just hoping they implode before it’s too late.
