But that's insane. Completely. Effing. Insane.

The Republican Party is 75% white Christians. To be a Republican you have to toe the line on basically everything - look at Lynn Cheney, one of the most conservative humans on the face of the Earth is unlikely to survive her primary. Nobody can win a GOP primary if they are in any way pro-choice. You have to be anti-gay, anti-tax, anti-climate change, pro-gun... For most of the hot-button issues, no deviation from the party line is tolerated.

How could the left be monolithic when they are such a mashup of every race, creed, color, and religion? Every place from cities to rural areas. Liberals, moderates and conservatives. Pro-choice to anti-abortion.

The right is once again living in a f*cking dreamland. A place where whites and Christians are oppressed, and a Democratic Party so diverse they can't even craft a coherent message is somehow a towering monolith.

Madness.
