Girls are scary! They do weird things for unknown reasons! If she’s here own person, she might do something chaotic!

More seriously, I think it’s only an insult if seeing your spouse succeed on her own is interesting and important. And vitally, if you don’t get jealous. I don’t think those are the norm. To be fair, it does increase chaos, just like racial equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and the other things a lot of men are against.
