Go find a bunch of teachers and talk like this, then note at the blank stares and hysterical laughter you will receive. While I agree with this in theory, it is entirely divorced from the reality teachers face in the classroom every day. They want to be good people and do the right thing by kids, but kids do not behave in the manner you're describing and any teacher who tried this approach to classroom management would be eaten alive by the students and resign in frustration by Christmas. Trust me on that.
