The rightwing media and their viewers are always in sync. Fox News is always either leading conservative opinion or being led by it. If both Fox and The Former Guy are both saying it, you can take it to the bank it's the popular opinion among the base.

It doesn't matter what you personally think. Proof By Anecdote is the least accurate way to gauge public opinion.
