Also, if you want to know what happened to the middle class, go back to 1980 and look how Reagan kicked the legs out from under them. What we're seeing now isn't new, it was set in motion 40 years ago.
As an example of "prospering": if you're one of the folks who think that government debt is a problem, go back and take a look at deficits: when Democrats are in the White House, deficits go down, when Republicans are in the White House deficits go up. And if you confused debt with deficit, I will have to get high-handed again.
