I actually disagree. If you go back and look, you can see the seeds of this party being planted as far back as McCarthy.

In my lifetime, there were the changes wrought by Reagan, the destruction of civility by Gingrich, the Clinton derangement syndrome, George Bush, the Tea Party, etc.

I've known for 20 years that the Republican Party would turn into a festering, rotten thing. Trump isn't the cause of the rot, he's merely the most obvious symptom.
