I agree it seems like a weird take away. The things I commented on are objectively dumb, yet still I felt the need to cite so many sources it added a minute to the reading time.

What I meant was exactly what the title says: please, I've spent my whole life hearing the Republican Party was the party of ideas. But those ideas rarely made sense to me and now more or less never do. If there's so much deep thinking going on over there, I can't find it, so I'm looking for somebody to explain these things.

If anyone offers me rational thinking, I'll reply to it. And more likely so if it's something I disagree with.

So I guess sort of the opposite of your comment.
