I don't think religion has no value at all, it seems to be an innate need for many. I'm just saying that logically it's completely vacuous - but that doesn't mean it has no value. I can't even discount the possibility it may be true. The message I'm going for is that Bible literalism is incompatible with reason, science, and governance.

Keep church and state separate, as a wise man once said. Organize the first however the congregation wants. Organize the second with science and reason.

Besides, the church has more to lose. Once it's infected with politics, it loses all credibility.
