I had one recently which got distributed and a "Your story has been recommended on Medium" email. It has passed 10K views, but with a 12% read rate. It's only 2% internal views, but has at least gotten enough to make $15. Then I published another article in the same publication which was also distributed and recommended. Unfortunately it's not doing much, and the previous story dropped off the table at the same time.

Medium still mystifies me.
