I think you missed that's the whole point of the article — the modern world is changing and I'm trying to figure this shit out. Hence the many question marks.

I'm not trying to compare challenges. For many people it's just survival, for me it's to break out of the privilege cocoon I could easily live in.

Is it easier for me? Holy shit 100% no question no point in asking.

My only point of connection is my religion situation that gives me some insight, but that's much easier to hide than, say, race or gender.
