I think you should have led with this rather than a blanket condemnation without explanation — though I know that's what the Internet thrives on. Thanks for a more valuable reply.

So, my basic theory:

The world changes. It's not exactly that men need fixing, but they have to evolve to keep up. In every species, the female chooses a mate based on criteria that may or may not make sense to males. So, males must adapt.

Or fail.

Historically, women were largely forced to marry to survive. That's fading, so the value of a Y chromosome as a mate attractant diminishes. Given that, males can either figure out what females want or go without mates.

A relationship is people who get what they need from one another. If the value of just a paycheck is less, what can men do to make themselves more desirable?

Now, in my opinion, there is an issue with "being bearers of penises certainly does not make us inherently problematic." It kind of does. Society has evolved faster than biology - we're still programmed to succeed by being big, strong, and aggressive. But if women change their wants and needs, we may have to fight our programming if nature has saddled us with traits that have become counterproductive.
