If abortion were going to be the single most important issue of the day, you'd think God might, like, bring it up. It's not as if the Bible is lacking in detail - eating a shrimp cocktail while wearing a poly-blend sweater is two black letter sins, to find a prohibition against abortion requires squeezing various verses very carefully.

Or maybe it's all just hot air by politicians and grifters to keep the money and votes rolling in? Nobody could be that cynical, right? If that were the point they would prevent policies that would reduce abortions for fear of muting the emotional impact...
