If you aren't going to read the story, you should probably just say so.

I'm not saying religious people are stupid, I'm saying that taken out of a religious context and viewed logically and scientifically, biblical literalism is stupid.

If you want to believe it, go ahead and I don't care. But these days it's up in my face all the time and I'm sick of that. All the Bible thumping types trying to run my life are cordially invited to go to a particularly hot corner of hell.
