I think a major part of the problem is merely bringing things to the surface. The GOP has been rotten for decades, Tr*mp brought it to the surface. There have always been cruel people, now it's out there for everyone to see. So the rotten things men and women have always done is now dredged up for public scrutiny. Add the bullhorn effect of the Internet (and the fact that the young have no sense of history) and everybody thinks there's something new under the sun.

I've been wondering if dating apps, Google, and Amazon have convinced people everything should be easy, but relationships never have been.
