In line with Robert Kantner's comment, what you are doing is playing the "both sides" game at its least useful: the left has flaws of various kinds, the right stands athwart history yelling "stop!"
Proportion matters. If one side is right four out of five times and the other one only once, they are both flawed, but at some point the quantitative becomes qualitative.
What you basically have here is a flaming liberal dream that can only be achieved by extinguishing American conservatism. Which is fine with me, they're dragging us down, but don't claim that "both sides" are the problem.
