It should work both ways, and I agree some women don’t do their bit. But I feel it’s clear men are not appreciative enough.

Also, as the thrust of the story is, it comes down to options. When women had to be married, men held the cards. If they don’t, then you have to work harder.

Worst of all is the masculinist and manosphere types who act like they’re owed. Sorry lads, the Y chromosome isn’t a golden ticket. Make yourself desirable or you won’t be desired.

As for “gaining” anything from the story, that’s a tired stereotype. You can be a pro-woman man for reasons other than sucking up to chicks. Besides, I’m an old married guy and this story isn’t going to make my wife love me more than she already does. I got nothing to gain. Just calling it like I see it.
