It's an excellent question and an ongoing problem. There are very few male teachers in the pre-high school years, but that's not a solution.

As always, teachers are caught in the crossroads of America's toxic prudery, dishonesty, violence, politics, and anti-intellectualism.

The problem with American education is America. That makes it hard to solve.
