Notice how "fair percentage" became every Republican. Careful with that argument technique.

I meant the kind of people he might bring into his admin, so not rank-and-file voters, most of whom are just regular people doing regular people things.

But do look it up. It's not all, but the number is higher than you'd think. Maria Butina is a fun place to start. Paul Manafort is good, but less fun.

Tr*mp has owed his financial life to foreign interests, Russians in particular, for decades. Yes, he worked hard to monetize the presidency, but the ties go back to early in his business career.

He's obviously deep in Putin's pocket, that's an open secret in D.C., but I wonder what hold Xi might have over him for China's support. Hard to say, though they seem to share some common traits. He'd certainly sell secrets if the price were right, that's clear.

If he wasn't president, he couldn't pass a background check to save his life, even without the foreign entanglements. He was in NYC/NJ real estate, so he has mob ties. Who knows how many more women are out there, how many abortions. He was good buddies with Jeffrey Epstein. He's probably committed every financial crime known to man.

Still, shamelessness is his superpower. He said he could shoot someone and his supporters wouldn't care, and at this point I'm ready to believe it. Now he's promised to weaponize the government to serve him and the guardrails are down, so it would be risky to cross him - nobody wants a federal investigation.

Not necessarily a Putin-like situation, though, where people the Dear Leader dislikes fall out of windows or get shot on streets just when the cameras are on the fritz. I don't think America is ready for that. But I think he'd get away with it, so who knows? It's a whole new world!

The problem is that his Teflon Don act is pretty unique to him. Things that bounce off him probably stick to his buddies.
