Off the top, young people are always screwed up. It takes time to find yourself.

I think you also underestimate the extent to which that sort of thing has been part of women's lives since forever. It's been magnified, just like everyone's flaws in the toxic social media era.

But at least women are trying to equip themselves for the modern world. They're educating themselves and they're more inclusive and progressive politically and socially.

Men are retreating into the past and committing themselves to the kind of straight white Christian America that can never be again.

You're right that nobody's doing great, but it's not enough to look where people are, you have to look forward as well. Women are on a trajectory that might succeed. The toxicity, anger, and futility of men's approach to the future can't lead anywhere good.
