On a similar note, someone once asked me why there are no Straight Pride parades. My answer was that would be the participation trophy of parades: straight people don't need one because no one ever told us we should be ashamed.

I don't know what's wrong with my straight white male brethren. I can't believe it's a lack of intelligence. Is it a lack of self reflection? I won't accept ignorance, because any ignorance of what we've done to those we've wronged would have to be willful. Or is it just a softness of privilege?
