Politeness and compassion and virtues, but dude...
"Fired for voting Republican"? That's either a masterful Poe's Law situation or the dumbest thing I've ever read. So:
1) You are a high level satirist and I admire you, or
2) WTF? That makes zero sense, there's zero evidence, it's toddler level whiny and petulant. Republicans run the goddamn country even when Democrats are the majority. They elected the single worst and most corrupt...person?...ever to soil the Oval Office. Ronald Reagan broke the budget. Newt Gingrich broke the House. Mitch McConnell broke the Senate and the Supreme Court. It's the party of McCarthy, Nixon, Bush, and Mango Mussolini. QAnon has a caucus. Marjorie Taylor Greene has a job. Of the dozen most venal and/or stupid politicians I've witnessed in my 40 years following politics, most are serving in the GOP right now.
And in all this, somehow they keep winning elections. How's that firing people for being a Republican thing working out? Fired for showing up at a White Supremist rally or beating up cops at the Capitol, sure, but they should be fired. Is that the definition of Republican?
And sure, go ahead and compare the treatment of this group of entitled halfwits to one of America's most heinously abused minorities. That's a a smart take.
High level discourse? A goal. I try. Hard. But dude...
