Should I assume that you ignored the primary point of the article intentionally?

The power balance between men and women has always been skewed toward men, but it has been getting better. Now men are regressing and expect women to give up what they've gained.

Men are welcome to reject what women are offering. All I ask is they honestly admit the reason — women are getting too close to equality and they don't like it. OK, fine. But be clear on what it means.

It's a problem I have with the conservative movement generally. They want to go backward to a past that was even more racist, sexist, homophobic, and religiously bigoted than the present. Some of us appreciate the progress and don't want to go back.

This is also where the individualistic argument looks unpleasant. When the less powerful ask for a seat at the table, they're being selfish. The right way to do things is is the old way! Settle back into your subservient roles and stop rocking the boat!
