So, some vague language may or may not have come to pass as written, and from that you jump straight to Bible inerrancy. You should try competing in the long jump, you could leap out of the stadium.

I get it, the problem with inerrancy is it puts you in a very tight box - one slip, and the whole book goes out the window. You go from knowing absolutely everything to absolutely nothing in the snap of a finger. No wonder you guys are wound tight as watchsprings. There's a lot riding on every argument.

However, I would say that conversations with Christians are frustrating. On one hand, I'm told you can't interpret God's Word - but whenever there's a contradiction or objectionable passage, I'm told I don't understand the context.

It's hard to play the game when the other party insists every word is true while at the same time reading the words however they want. Science at least makes sense and has a consistent internal logic.
