Somebody once told me never to trust anyone whose god agrees with them about everything. We are flawed beings who can’t get along, it’s weird to think that if there is a God any one person could know his/her/its mind.

Also weird: there are a crap ton of religions and every fundamentalist thinks theirs is The Truth…but they’re all wrong except one.

The freedom from religion thing seems obvious, right? I mean, the only way to have freedom of religion is for everybody to worship as they see fit without favoring one faith — but then how would you single out who has no faith? We could all just become Pastafarians and declare, OK this is our religion, back off. Somehow I don’t that that would be good enough.

I communicated with a guy recently who fears persecution of Christians if they become the minority. I suggested that would be a lot less likely if they got out of everyone’s face now. Apparently, in his version of religion it is “unthinkable” to leave other people be.
