I've decided you deserve more response. Yes, educators and education should be respected, class sizes should be small, and kids should get individual attention. Teachers are among the most caring people on Earth.

Will you dedicate yourself to increasing school funding, lowering class size, emphasizing education over test scores and its utility in the job market, raising teacher salaries and protecting them from out-of-control parents, turn America's anti-intellectual ship around, and fight the conservative effort to ruin schools so people will vote for privatization?

If yes to all of the above, then get started. Otherwise, don't complain when the results are predictably substandard.
