The changes in language bother me too. It's like swearing - a well placed "fuck" was powerful, it cued the listener that this was serious business. Now it's rthrown around like confetti.

So agreed on "war". Wars on crime, drugs and Christmas. Every cop and athlete is now a "warrior going to battle."

So maybe not war in the WWII sense, but whatever we should name it the forecast does call for more blood in the streets before this is done.
