Clearly, abortion is “easy” to oppose, it doesn’t impose any responsibilities on you (particularly when abortion opponents are apparently not shy about getting one if they need one). It’s an awesome fundraising and voter motivation tool, though…

I once read an article that posited that the entire purpose of the Abrahamic religions is to suppress women, in particular their sexuality. I don’t know if that’s the main point, but it sure does seem like one of the points.
