There is something to the idea of keeping it tight and focused, and don't make it look like we can blame it on Trump. Bringing him into it does provide sort of an out for people who don't support him. "I don't have to think about this, it's all HIS fault." But we do have to think about it, particularly straight white guys like me who hold the power and prevent America from changing if we don't participate on the right side of things.

It is incorrect to claim he is what's wrong with America, rather than merely a symptom of what's wrong.
