There’s a way to formulate God that works. The Big Bang sounds very religion-worthy: there was nothing, then in a flash of light there was everything.

But what about pain and suffering? Not just human, either. If God made the world exactly as He wants it, why did he make wasps that inject an egg into a caterpillar, after which the larva eats it’s victim from the inside out, saving the vital organs until last so it’s alive through the whole process.

Who does that?
