There’s always the argument that it ought to just die. I like it, though, it adds stability to relationships which is good for adults and children alike. I figure people are fundamentally lazy, so knowing that it’ll be a hassle to split gives everybody a chance to cool off and think it through. But I don’t see how it can’t go on as one sided as it is, barring our regression to a regressive country. Which is definitely not out of the question.
