Too weird to be funny. It's all just ranting, conspiracy theories, straw men and to top it off more ranting. The problem I have with so much conservative thought is the childish, cartoonish, primitive nature of the thought process.

Logic and reason is my deal, you don't give me anything to work with. What you write doesn't make sense or hold together in the face of observed reality.

You want to pretend there's a clear line between capitalism and socialism, but there isn't. There is not, nor has there ever been, any such thing as a functioning free market economy, full stop. The only thing that works is a base of capitalism with socialist controls. You want to talk about actual communism, but I doubt you can point out any actual Communists in any position of authority anywhere in the government. If you've ever actually listened to him, Bernie Sanders is not advocating the end of personal property and state ownership of the means of production. He just isn't.

You've created this ridiculous parody of liberals that doesn't actually make sense. I've known a lot of liberals, they are almost always very nice people who are sometimes wrong but rarely ill-intentioned.

I think it's a problem of projection - we all see the world through our own frame. I don't think the conservative brain can imagine what it feels like to legitimately want to help all people, whether they know them or not. I don't think the conservative brain can understand the visceral horror liberals feel when they see poverty, racism, etc. Because of that misunderstanding, you guys go crazy and start assigning the kinds of motives you would have to have to feel that way.

But liberals are wired differently. They're not trying to use the pain and suffering of others as tools, they actually want to help. The right is an almost entirely White, almost entirely Christian entity. (The GOP is 75% both, which is mindboggling.) But that means the left is a chaotic mishmash of everything else. Liberals can't be strategic because there are too many conflicting constituencies.

It's cute you guys imagine that there's some sort of "organized left" out there pulling the strings. Trust me, I'm surprised they can get out of bed and dress themselves. Have you ever tried to organize a bunch of liberals to do anything? Herding cats is easier.

Stop seeing the left with a conservative's mindset, they don't think that way. Try to wrap your head around the reality that they really are just earnest, well-meaning souls trying to do what they think is the right thing. You can disagree, but this cartoon monster you've created and based your arguments on is absurd.
