The Hunter laptop fiasco was on the GOP side. They had whole committees dedicated to hunting down and prosecuting one American citizen who in the end was not found guilty of much. No giant conspiracy, no Earth-shaking financial misdeeds.

What actually happened is that Mueller believed the evidence didn't rise to the level of a legal charge conspiracy, at least not to level the he thought necessary to charge a president. But he didn't exonerate him either.

Oh, and according to pollsters, the group of people calling themselves independents is increasing, but they aren't actually independent at all - almost all lean Dem or GOP and vote reliably that way.
