Well put. It's sort of an extension of the "you don't know enough to ask the right questions, much less understand the answers."

Someone can tell you what the scientific process looks like, but most people don't understand it well enough to understand the implications, or why they can put a level of faith in it.

Also the word faith is tricky – people who have it or understand what the word means culturally will tend to default to a black-and-white concept. It's basically a separate definition of "faith."
