We're living in the world the American right wants. When half the votes go to them, there's not much to be done. They're fighting a holy war, and one feature of those is they'd rather burn the world to the ground than lose. I don't see the president or anybody else on the left has much choice.

However, it may be that their strategy is flawed. I voted for Sanders in the 2016 primary and Warren in 2020. In holy war the old tactics may not work, and a paradigm shift may be the only one that might.

But again, an authoritarian theocracy is the goal of one of our major political parties and they're exporting it abroad. I feel that any complaint or attack piece that smells of bothsidesism as this one does is doing politics a disservice.
