Also, you're arguing (inaccurately) about violent opposition, but this all started with opposition generally. Even someone who doesn't actually want to do others harm can be too opposed to build bridges.

As for anybody wanting to destroy Christianity, it's had it's boot on the neck of every non-believer for (again) as long as I've been alive. But some LGBTQ people don't want to be second-class citizens anymore and that's the provocation to backlash?
