“Woke” is a pointless word anymore, it’s been tortured into incoherence. Racism is a real thing doing past, present, and future damage. Acknowledging it doesn’t make me a good person, just somebody trying to be intellectually honest, and I have racist feelings at times and benefit from a racist system. I don’t expect any credit nor expect Black people to love me for it, frankly I’d more likely expect them to grab me by the neck and scream at me for taking so long to start figuring all this out.
