You have to go do some research, man. Sounds like you're hiding your head in the sand to protect your agenda. All I want is a nice libertarian world where everybody can just do their thing, but that's incompatible with open eyes. When ideology trumps reason, you've left the path of wisdom.
I mean, wanting to compare the US to poor countries must be either scientific illiteracy or some sort of blindness. Our peer nations are Western and Northern Europe, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea. (Apologies to any I've forgotten.) Outside that group there are too many confounding factors. So not a law, other than the law of good science.
