You may be right, I can't pretend to be an expert. But I don't think a bumper sticker slogan like term limits can solve human nature.

Capitalism and crony capitalism are different in theory but identical in practice. With nearly unlimited donations (thanks, Republicans) and massive wealth inequality (thanks, conservatism) there's really no way to control the effect of money. I don't think bribery is the problem at this point. Bribing an individual representative is chump change for small thinkers. You can bribe a Democrat, the party is an incoherent mess, as always. But for Republicans you have outside groups like ALEC writing the bills and Congress and state legislatures passing them verbatim. Judges are pre-selected. Strategy and talking points are pre-written. No sense bribing anyone, just get with the progrm and be taken care of. And term limits can't help because the name doesn't matter.
