Your bothsideism is showing, this is incorrect. Yes, for the right it's a ban. But I doubt Democrats have ever proposed "abortion on demand" and if so they wouldn't have voted to pass it. The Democratic position is, as usual, right in line with public opinion - though last I heard support is up to 25%, double the percentage who want a ban. We had a functional compromise in Roe that one side supported and the other chose to kill off.

Please don't exaggerate the left and/or Democratic positions to minimize the right's insanity.
