You’ve missed the point, though thanks for validating my point about thin-skinned haste to cry oppression.

If your God is truly the creator of the universe, he doesn’t need you to defend him from me, and what I say or believe is irrelevant in the big picture. Why should you care?

I’m not really trying to argue whether it’s true or not. The point is that the available evidence makes the idea of calling it literally true either laughable or defining God as a terrible deity. Might there be truth at the heart of it? Maybe. Is it useful as a defining doctrine for governing the nation? Absolutely not.

But again, believe whatever you want. That’s not my concern. You do you.

However: if you have any actual evidence to present, please do. I’m a rational and logical person by nature if you give me something I can hold onto, I might give it a rethink.
